Eleven-year-old Phillip Mead is lost and terrified, running through a dense forest

until he reaches a peak with a freight train in sight, which strangely offers him

a sense of safety amidst his fear. Meanwhile, Phillip's friend Alex and he are

desperately trying to free another child who is tied to the train tracks, but their

efforts are in vain as the train emerges from a tunnel, leaving them homfied and
